What will you learn?
The PhD study programme Nuclear Power Engineering provides individual profiling of a post-graduate linked to scientific methods of research and development of areas relevant to nuclear, nuclear power and nuclear physical facilities and relating equipment.
It is concerned above all with the field of increasing of nuclear safety connected with radiation resistance and other properties of structure and nuclear materials. It is further pertinent to research, development and structure of advanced types of nuclear and fusion reactors, to nuclear fuels and fuel cycles, to making use of transmutation technologies, decommissioning of nuclear installations, spent nuclear fuel and radwaste treatment, to the area of detection, dosimetry and radiation protection, as well as to environmental and economic aspects of nuclear energy.
